Ciobair Herds the Dog that Chases the Cow

I took the typical cat toy idea and turned it into a large scale dog toy.  This is a great toy for multiple dogs to teach impulse control and to create an off switch for dog's chase instinct which is imperative with a border collie puppy (pair it with sits, downs, leave its, stays).  In this picture, my friend is demonstrating how it works. Simon is chasing the "cow shaped" toy while Ciobair seems to be herding Simon.  It's a perfect situation.  Look how he can turn on a dime.  It's great to see their different methods come out and especially great when they work together to capture the 'cow'.

Vet Visit

Ciobair is just one of those puppies that actually like going to the vet despite the needles and injections.  Thank you Juniper Valley Animal Hospital for your gentle hands and genuine care.

Puppy Kindergarten

Ciobair started Puppy K class.  Over a dozen puppies in one room.  Chaotic but fun.
