Pup Crawl to Help the Pets in Need

On April 16, dog owners around NYC will walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with their pups and new light-up leashes!

The second Brooklyn Bridge Pup Crawl will take place on Saturday April 16 beginning at 5:30 PM in City Hall Park. Hundreds of pups and owners will convene in City Hall Park to mingle and share some puppy love before we enjoy a beautiful nighttime walk across the historic Brooklyn Bridge to take in the Manhattan skyline and help to feed pets in need.

Registration and Suggested Donation
The recommended donation to register for the Brooklyn Bridge Pup Crawl is $25 per human participant, which includes a free Pup Crawl Lights-Up Leash. All proceeds go to our six non-profit partners. You can help the cause by buying additional leashes in advance and encouraging your friends to get some, too. $3 from every leash sale goes directly to a local animal shelter to help pets in need.

Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show 2011

Cue the lights and roll out the green carpet! The best of the best canine beauties came out to strut their stuff for the 135th Westminster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The judging began at 8:00 AM on Monday Feb. 14. There were six rings being judged simultaneously yet from the stands, it all appeared somewhat organized and there were moments where a dog and handler would be perfectly in sync. The crowd cheered on their favorites and others politely clapped. Backstage in the benching area was a completely different world. There were echos of hundreds of blow dryers buzzing, dogs voicing their opinions, cameras, reporters, and of course hundreds of spectators all weaving through the aisles wanting to get a peek and meet the dogs. Naturally some dogs did not like the public crowds coming in but others found a way to escape to their roaming sheep filled pastures in their dreams.

Meet the Breeds 2010 NYC

Photos are finally here! Meet the Breeds 2010 in New York City had a huge turnout. It was the perfect place for current and future pet owners to meet and greet most dog and cat breeds all under 1 roof. Knowledgeable veterinarians and experts were there to answer any questions. It was a great opportunity for people learn about the details of specific breeds. Personally it was like being a kid in a candy store. Woofs and Meows of all shapes and sizes made their appearances. Several training schools demonstrated their talents as well as the NYPD K9 unit and TSA K9. Despite the heavy crowds it was well worth the attendance for the samples, swag, and cuddles from the animals. If you're looking to add a furry friend into your family, consider adopting from a shelter or rescue. Many purebred dog and cats have ended up needing new homes. It just takes patience and research. Start here.
